French justice has released on parole for formal defects the two main suspects in the murder of the young 25-year-old Gironde woman, killed by a bullet in the back of the head in 2021 in Guyana, against a backdrop of drug trafficking. His parents and sister filed a corruption complaint. According to them, administration agents were “bought” by drug traffickers.

“We are disgusted. The French justice system released two repeat drug traffickers for procedural defects? What does that mean? We got life sentences for the murder of our daughter! And we want to know the truth”. Huge rant from Bernard Faye. The conditional release of the two main suspects for procedural defects is experienced as a new ordeal for the family of the victim who has been going through an ordeal since Alicia's death. His body was found on March 13, 2021, in a street in Cayenne, Guyana.
“My daughter is just a file number for the justice system, which doesn’t care about us!”. Bernard Faye does not mince his words. Broken by the death of his youngest daughter, this resident of Saint-Louis de Montferrand in Gironde has not lost his temper since the recent court decisions. On November 12, the family filed a complaint against x for active and passive corruption against a person with a public service mission. According to her, in fact, there would have been “corruption of administration agents by drug traffickers”.
“Le principal suspect was indicted for drug trafficking, criminal conspiracy, money laundering, assassination by an organized gang. There you have it, those are his basic charges. So, we don't understand why an individual like that is released. We at least release him with an electronic bracelet, I don't know what, the victim's father annoys. C‘is aberrant. The Court of Cassation only applies the Penal Code, yes, OK. But they should have been wary. The suspect vanished.”
For me, there is something corrupt, no one is going to hide it from me. There is state administrative corruption, I am convinced. So that's why we're filing a complaint.

On October 16, Dhane L., prosecuted for the murder of Alicia Faye and drug trafficking, disappeared into thin air, after having been released for formal defects.
Since then, an international arrest warrant has been issued against the suspect. Still on the run, the fugitive has not yet been found.
Six days later, on October 22, their lawyer learned of the release of another suspect, Flaviano M., main protagonist in the murder of the young Bordeaux girl. As with Dhane L., the suspect, incarcerated in Nancy in Meurthe-et-Moselle, was released for formal defects following a ruling by the Court of Cassation which overturned a decision of the investigating chamber. The latter had in fact kept the defendant in detention, suspecting the corruption of a prison officer in his favor.
For Me Michaël Beulque, lawyer for the family who filed the complaint against x for corruption, “It’s an absolute disgrace.”
For me, it's drug trafficking that has taken over justice in France, that's all.

The release of the two defendants occurred two days before the hearing at the criminal court of Cayenne (Guyana) where they were to be tried for international drug trafficking. “Exexcuse me, we're not kiddingadds the lawyer. Let me be clear, I take responsibility for what I say. You know, justice that has no means is a justice that can tamper. LFrench justice, therefore, is a justice system that can tamper. However, J'expect normal justice, in a rule of law, That’s all, period.”
In this case, “There are things, indeed, which have not been done”continues the lawyer who hopes to obtain the opening of an investigation by the public prosecutor.
For his part, Bernard Faye feels helpless. “We are starting to lose hope in justice, but we are going to fight again.” He hopes that the new investigating judge in charge of the case since January will move things forward, the first judge having been removed following death threats from Flaviono M., the main suspect.
“We want to know the truth about the assassination of our daughter,” insists the father who says he has nightmares every night. Since January my wife has fallen ill, she has cancer. We are fighting two battles. My other two daughters haven't been well either since Alicia's murder. It's true, she made a mistake, but she got her head turned around by the drug dealers. And they shot her in the back of the head. For what ? We want to know.”
Flaviano M. and Dhane L. were sentenced to ten and five years in prison in the drug trafficking aspect. The date of the trial at the assizes, for the assassination aspect, has not yet been set.
