An Indian man declared dead by a doctor woke up moments before his cremation.

According to a medical official at AFP, Rohitash Kumar, a 25-year-old young man who suffered from speech and hearing difficulties, had fallen ill and was taken to Jhunjhunu hospital in Rajasthan, north of India. 'India. The latter allegedly suffered an epileptic seizure and a doctor then declared him dead upon his arrival at the hospital.
However, the hospital's chief doctor, D. Singh, told AFP that a doctor had “prepared the post-mortem report without carrying out the autopsy, and that the body was then sent to the cremation”.
The chief doctor added that “shortly before” his cremation, “the body (…) began to move” but also that “he was alive and breathing”.
The young man was therefore transported to hospital a second time, but he finally died this Friday.
According to the Times of India and other Indian media, three doctors have been suspended and police have opened an investigation.
