This match had a particular interest for Victoria and her family who also maintain a link with Germany, the original homeland of Queen Silvia and therefore part of the maternal family of the heir to the throne. The encouragement bore fruit as the Swedes narrowly won 73 to 72. At the end of this high-tension match, Sweden ranked second in its qualifying group behind Montenegro. This summer, Princess Estelle witnessed another great sporting moment as she supported Swedish athletes at the Paralympics with her mother and grandmother, Queen Silvia.
