Information found in the code of version 1.2024.317 reveals features such as “live camera functionality”, “real-time processing”, “voice mode integration” and “visual recognition capabilities “.

New perspectives with the 'Live Camera'

This could allow you to open the webcam while you speak in advanced voice mode, so it can give live feedback on what it can see in front of you. It's similar to Google's Project Astra with real-time visual analytics. Features found in the ChatGPT Android app beta suggest that the Live Camera feature could be coming to a ChatGPT beta in the near future.

Promising demonstrations

During May demonstrations during OpenAI's spring update, video features could recognize a dog, its actions with a ball and more, while remembering key information like the dog's name.
