This Friday, November 22, Côte-d'Or will remain under orange vigilance for snow-ice until midday. Last night's snowfall combined with subzero temperatures made particularly delicate traffic on many areas of the department.
Snow showers may still occur in the morning. In the afternoon, showers of snow or sleet are still expected in places, despite occasional clearings. Temperatures will remain close to zero degrees in the plain.
Weather forecast for the weekend
The days to come could see a gradual softening.
- Saturday November 23, the south wind and the alternation of clouds and clearings will gradually raise the mercury. After the morning frosts, the mercury will rise up to 5 degrees during the day.
- Sunday November 24, the sun will returnaccompanied by southerly wind gusts of up to 80 km/h. Temperatures will rise between 12 and 16 degrees.
- Monday, November 25, a rain disturbance will cross the region with sustained wind gusts. Temperatures will remain mild for the season, oscillating between 8 and 15 degrees.
Difficult traffic from the early hours
At daybreak, the northern roads of the Côte-d'Or were slipperyinformation confirmed by the Traffic Information and Management Center (CIGT) of the Departmental Council. The A38 motorwaythe rise of Sombernon, the Plaine de Saône and the Pays de l'Auxois were mainly concerned.
The prefecture has also taken reinforced security measures, such as the traffic ban for school transport until 3 p.m.the speed limit to 70 km/h for heavy goods vehicles over 7.5 tonnes and the ban on overtaking.
Public transport disrupted in Dijon and Beaune
In Dijon, the Divia network trams have been running normally since the start of the service. The bus network is undergoing some disturbances and has to adjust some circuits. All lines are operational.
In Beaune, the situation is more critical: due to persistent ice, buses do not run this Friday morning.
Some disruptions on the SNCF network
The Burgundy-Franche-Comté region also informs that several regular Mobigo lines are suspendednotably line 120 linking Montbard to Saulieu, and line 113 Dijon-Beaune.
SNCF announces delaysin particular on the TGV network. At Dijon station, the TGV Lyria 9261 is 1 hour 10 minutes late and the TGV Inoui 9877 is expected to be 50 minutes late
