With the snow-ice vigilance extended to this Friday, November 22, until noon, the prefect has taken a temporary measure banning the movement of school transport.

Press release from the prefect of Côte-d’Or of November 21, 2024:

Orange snow-ice vigilance is maintained by Meteo until noon tomorrow for the Côte-d'Or department.

Given the snowfall and the risk of ice tonight and tomorrow morning, the prefect of Côte-d'Or has issued a decree prohibiting the circulation of school transport on Friday, November 22 from 5 a.m. to noon, on all road networks. and highways of the Côte-d'Or department.

Regular coach lines are not affected by this ban.

The traffic ban on school transport is extended until 3 p.m. in Côte d'Or.

Côte-d'Or is on Orange Snow Ice Vigilance until midday then on Yellow Vigilance until Saturday 23rd at midday.

Traffic conditions remain poor given the cold and icy conditions.

Motorists are still urged to postpone their trips as much as possible or to exercise extreme caution on the road.
