Heating oil prices rise again in Belgium

For several days, the prices of various fuels have been increasing in Belgium. After gasoline and diesel, it is the turn of heating oil to progress further by a few cents per liter from this Saturday.

New increase from Saturday

From this Saturday, these prices will change, as announced by the FPS Economy. From now on, the maximum price of a liter of heating diesel (H0/H7) for a purchase of more than 2,000 liters will be 0.9395 euroswhich represents an increase of 0.0115 euros per litre. For purchases of less than 2,000 litres, the price will increase to 0.9787 euro per literwith an increase also of 0.0115 euros per litre.

As for petrol and diesel, their prices remain unchanged for the moment. Petrol 95 RON E10 is currently at 1.7610 euros per liter, while petrol 98 RON E5 is at 1.8550 euros per liter. For diesel B7, the maximum price is 1.8310 euros per liter on this Saturday, June 28.

Heating oil prices depend on several factors

The rise in heating oil prices could influence those of other fuels, due to various factors. High demand plays a major role, especially with the increase in fuel consumption (petrol and diesel) during the summer, when many Belgian motorists use their vehicles to go on vacation. Furthermore, the evolution of the oil markets is also decisive, with fuel prices in Belgium following the oil trend. Since the start of the current month, crude oil prices have been on the rise.

For this Friday, June 28, a barrel of Brent from the North Sea is quoted at $85.56. Compared with the lowest price of the month, around $73 per barrel recorded at the start of the month, the difference is around $8. American West Texas Intermediate (WTI) is at $82.08 per barrel, also showing a clear increase compared to prices previously observed.
