Alistair Brownlee ended his career on Thursday at the age of 36. The British triathlete had won the most prestigious titles. He was a gold medalist at the Olympic Games in London in 2012 and Rio de Janeiro in 2016 but also a double world champion (in 2009 and 2011) and four-time European champion (2010, 2011, 2014 and 2019). With Frenchwoman Cassandre Beaugrand, he is the only one to have won these three titles.
