Domaine de Champ Fleury
“Happy Beaujolais”
A new product from the Pierres Dorées sector. Very classic aromatically (notes of English sweets, strawberries), this cuvée lives up to its name perfectly and is delicious and spontaneously festive.

Enter Famille
Audrey and Thibaut Girin, brother and sister, are regulars in our November selection. Here they are again in 2024 with a well-colored Beaujolais Nouveau, deep in the mouth and with beautiful aromatic intensity. A long and clean finish concludes the tasting.

Day House
“The Repentants”
A primeur, certified organic and vinified without sulfur, particularly harmonious and refreshing. Its relative concentration does not prevent it from showing a beautiful presence and a certain length on the palate. The house also convinced us with its “Tradition” vintage (€11), made from vines over 40 years old.

Paul-André Brossette
“Footprint”
At the head of a family estate since 1710, the Brosette family is therefore making something new with something old. The vintage, with floral nuances and beautiful aromatic finesse, presents a structure that is both deep and fresh.

Pierres Dorées winegrowers
“The Purple Rose”
The Pierres Dorées cooperative cellar does it again with this vintage, a regular in our selection of primeurs. Ample, expressive, floral, it also immediately seduces with its consistency. A clean finish concludes the tasting. The other vintage from the range offered for tasting, “Terra Iconia” (€7) is also worth mentioning.

P. Ferraud et Fils
“The Couple”
A particularly harmonious Beaujolais with great aromatic clarity. It evokes peony or even fresh rose. Fine tannins line the palate. A great success in this difficult vintage. From the same producer, we also appreciated the “Cuvée d’Autreviens” (€12.40) with a little more tannic firmness.

AOC Beaujolais-Villages

Mickaël Nesme
A Beaujolais Nouveau, vinified at low temperature, which presents a beautiful balance and notable length. It evokes elegant floral notes accompanied by a refreshing vegetal nuance. An interpretation inspired by the vintage.

Julien Aucagne
A young estate in Juliénas, created in 2019, by a former winemaker from the Hospices de Beaujeu. The vintage presents a beautiful intensity and good aromatic precision. Its texture is consistent and a long finish leaves the mouth clean.

Maison Piron
We no longer present the Piron house based near Morgon. It offers a Beaujolais-Villages vinified only in part from whole harvests. A cuvée with a deep color, evoking black fruits. Its dense substance, with well-coated tannins, subtly evokes liquorice. The house’s Beaujolais vintage (€8.50) is also among the successes.

Varennes Castle
A property of the Chaveriat family since 1809. It has produced, from the slopes of Quincié, a primeur of remarkable freshness and impeccable aromatic clarity. It evokes raspberry, violet and fine tannins flatter the palate.

Domaine Chevalier Métrat
An estate, run by Sylvain Métrat, located on the slopes of the Brouilly hill. It gave birth to a Beaujolais Nouveau with floral notes and a texture consistent with caressing finesse.

Domaine du Penlois
“You make my head spin”
Four short days of maceration were enough for the Besson family to give shape to a harmonious primeur, with notes of wild strawberries. The whole also shows good consistency.

Domaine Pertuizet
“Gégé”
Anaïs Pertuizet, based in Lantignié, is part of the new generation of Beaujolais. She achieves an expressive and very delicious first taste. A fleshy wine but also with a beautiful aromatic clarity.

Domaine de Croifolie
Vatting for 6 days in whole bunches, according to regional tradition, gave a wine with notes of blueberry and blackcurrant. Its fine, fleshy texture and good persistence also convinced the jury.

Jérôme Lacondemine
“Heart of Grapes”
Winemaker based in Beaujeu, Jérôme Lacondemine carried out vinification without sulfur and in whole clusters. The vintage is distinguished by its fleshy character and its fine tannins. A delicious wine with a nice consistency.

Mélinon family
The younger generation, Marine and Gaëtan Mélinon, have taken control of this Villié-Morgon estate. It offers a beautifully extracted, concentrated and crunchy Beaujolais Nouveau. The notes of black fruits are dominant.

Château Gaillard
Sébastien Gutty vinified this cuvée without sulfur, which happily combines freshness and concentration. It evokes small fresh red fruits on the nose, while the palate lingers with a note of fully ripe cherry.

Domaine Burnichon
Daniel and Marie-Claude Burnichon generally produce consistent new products that will ideally find their place at the table. This 2024 vintage is no exception: this wine is intense and fleshy. Its delicious texture evokes blueberry and blackcurrant with great clarity and great persistence.
