Women's Champions League. OL overthrow Roma and secure their ticket to the quarter-finals

Olympique Lyonnais have validated their ticket to the quarter-finals of the Women's Champions League. The Lyonnaises easily won against AS Rome (4-1) during the 4th day of the group stage, Wednesday November 20, at Groupama Stadium.

The Lyonnaises have a fourth success in as many matches. OL becomes the first team in history to start a Women's Champions League campaign with four victories. Facing the Romans who were much better than in the first leg, where they lost (0-3), OL failed for a long time. The Rhone club looked for a solution but without being able to find a solution.

Diani's sensational entry

We had to wait until the 40th minute of play to witness 's first shot on target from Chawinga. The Lyonnaises insist and are closer and closer to opening the score. This is without counting its goalkeeper Ceasar who postpones the deadline with a strike from Dumornay (51'). As the minutes pass, Roma gradually gains confidence. And Dragoni opened the scoring against the run of play (0-1, 74'). A short-lived advantage for the Italians.

Barely entering the game, Kadiatou Diani equalized for Lyon (1-1, 77') before doing it again less than two minutes later (2-1, 78').

The Frenchwoman was able to bring all the realism that the Lyon attack lacked for 75 minutes. The end of the match is one-sided, Le Sommer makes the break as soon as he enters the game with a nice cross shot (3-1, 88') then Renard, with a classic, completes the affair from a corner (4-1, 92').

Four out of four for OL who will travel to Istanbul to challenge Galatasaray next December.
