Samsung is rolling out a major new update for its connected watches. One UI 6 Watch brings AI-powered features like improved sleep tracking and “energy scoring” to better understand your health.
After several months of testing, Samsung finally begins the deployment of the update One UI 6 Watch for its Galaxy watches. Based on Wear OS 5this version introduces new tools to improve health monitoring and personalization of workouts. THE Galaxy Watch 6 are the first to benefitfollowed by the previous models like the Galaxy Watch 5 et 4. Note that flagship models like the Galaxy Watch Ultra and the recent Galaxy Watch 7, already equipped with this version upon release, are not affected.
Among the new features, Samsung offers a “energy score” based on data like quality of your sleepyour heart rate and your activity levels. The latter tells you if you are rested or if you should slow down. Sleep tracking benefits from more precise analysis thanks to a new AI algorithm. It measures, among other things, your breathing, your nighttime movements and your time to fall asleep.

The update also extends the sleep apnea detection to more Galaxy Watch models. This allows you to spot the signs potential for respiratory problems moderate or severe. At the same time, the sports functions evolve: you can create personalized training routines by combining different exercises, or compare your current performances to your past records thanks to the “Race” functionality.
To simplify the daily use of these watches, One UI 6 Watch also introduces innovative gestures. And double pinch of the bracelet allows, for example, to answer a callof take a photo or from silence an alarm directly from your Galaxy Watch. Of new dials complete this update, combining design and practical features, such as minimalist displays or detailed information tables. This update will be available first on the Galaxy Watch 6 in the coming days, before gradually arriving on older models like the Galaxy Watch 5 and 4, so you can expect to receive it in the coming weeks.
