Double alert in Essonne. THE department has been place in yellow vigilance par Weather France this Tuesday, November 19, 2024, for risks of “strong winds” and of “rain-flood”.
Rain of varying intensity and gusts up to 70 km/h
The alert began at 12 p.m. and must be lifted at 7 p.m. regarding strong winds. Gusts going up to 70 km/h are expected.
As for the risk of flooding linked to rain, the alert issued by the public meteorological institute also began at midday and must last at least until midnight.
The showers, which began at the start of the day, are expected to continue intermittently during the afternoon and evening over the entire Essonne territory.
A sunny morning on Wednesday before the clouds return
On the temperature side, mercury will painfully exceed the 10°C mark this afternoon before descending slightly in the evening then during the night.
According to Météo France forecasts, the soleil should manage to break through the clouds Wednesday morning.
Nevertheless, this improvement will be short-lived and the clouds should return in the afternoon and will sometimes be accompanied by rain.
Snow expected on Thursday, sudden warming on Sunday
The temperatures will be a little cooler and it is will not exceed 5°C.
The thermometer will go down again on Thursday November 21 so that snow should fall alone or accompany rain over a large part of the department.
Finally, after cool and rather cloudy days on Friday and Saturday, the climate should warm up suddenly on Sunday with up to 17°C expected during the afternoon.
