Apple MacBook Air 2020 M1 at the best price
An iconic design that hasn’t aged a bit
The transition from Intel chips to Apple’s in-house models has in no way affected the design of this MacBook Air. The finishes to which the Cupertino company has accustomed us for years and which have made the range famous were always there. We thus find the famous aluminum chassis for an ultralight ultrabook of 1.29 kg, with a thickness of less than 2 cm. Ideal for transport, but this necessarily leads to a lack of space in terms of connectors (two USB-C ports and a 3.5 mm jack).
On the other hand, in terms of power, nothing to complain about. The Apple Silicon M1 gives it processor performance up to 3.5 times higher and graphics performance up to 5 times faster than the latest Intel MacBook models of the time. Suffice to say that usual office tasks will be a piece of cake for the MacBook Air 2020 M1, but it is also up to the task for certain more creative tasks such as video editing or photos.
A proven screen and comfortable battery life
On the screen side, the MacBook Air 2020 M1 sports a 13-inch Retina True Tone LCD screen with a wide color gamut (P3) and a definition of 2,560 x 1600 pixels. While creatives probably prefer to turn to the Mini LED screens of MacBook Pros, most users will not find much to complain about. We will also note the presence of Touch ID on its backlit keyboard which allows you to unlock the device.
Finally, the first MacBook equipped with an in-house chip was able to take advantage of the new performance, but also of the optimized energy consumption of the M1 for a significant jump in autonomy compared to the previous model. It thus lasts a day of work perfectly. The icing on the cake is that the laptop manages heat very well and does not heat up even without a fan.
