No, we are not announcing the return of Christine Bravo on the air but the arrival of a new program that Nagui will present in January on France 2 in order to promote all types of artistic events. Nagui will co-present “Les Bravos d’Or” with Leïla Kaddour-Boudadi, his accomplice on the radio show “La Bande Original” on France Inter. Without a jury or votes, the ceremony will reward the most popular events.
“The starting point was to tell myself that, since the 7 d’Or (the TV awards which disappeared in the early 2000s, editor’s note), television no longer had its awards party,” explains Nagui to AFP.
“A transversal ceremony”
But while the 7 d'Or only rewarded TV shows, the host and producer chose to extend it to all cultural disciplines to “make a cross-sectional ceremony”, with around fifteen categories. “The entire world of culture will be represented: cinema, theater, television, radio, books, podcasts, streaming, etc. », he explains.
This show will be “not an election” but will draw up “an assessment” of public success: there will be no vote or jury and the rewards will be based on measuring the number of entries or sales, audiences, etc. A positioning popular that Nagui claims: “the observation of public success is not an insult in itself”.
Filming will take place “during December at the Théâtre Marigny” in Paris. If the show has a good audience, “it is destined to be repeated” in subsequent years, according to Nagui.
