An investigating judge placed the suspect in a triple homicide in Ixelles under arrest warrant following his hearing, the Brussels prosecutor’s office reported on Sunday evening. He was charged with murder.
A woman and two children, including a baby, were found dead in Ixelles on Saturday.

According to the Brussels public prosecutor’s office, the Brussels-Ixelles police received a call on Saturday morning from a member of a family worried about not having had contact with one of their relatives for some time. The police went to the scene, avenue Jeanne in Ixelles, and found a man in the home.

After much insistence from the officers, the suspect agreed to open the door. Still according to the prosecution, in the home, three deceased victims were found. They are a 40-year-old woman and two children, aged 13 and 1 year. The 54-year-old man, found in the home, appears to be the victim’s partner.
