An unexpected announcement. This Friday, November 15, Mika was Nagui’s guest on the show Taratata broadcast on France 2. And between two performances, the interpreter of That’s life made a big announcement regarding the rest of his career. “You move around a lot, you travel a lot, you have a life both as an artist, a singer who performs on stage, but also as a host in shows”then began the host, before being quickly corrected by the former coach of The Voice. “I’m reducing this”, then confides Mika, subsequently explaining to stop broadcasts in France. “In France, it’s over, I’m stopping all my TV shows in France.”
A statement which did not fail to surprise Mélanie Page’s companion. “As a host, but as a singer you will continue”Nagui then continued.“Yes, of course, as a singer and to come and speak”said the 41-year-old singer. “We understood. You don’t want the chair to turn around anymore, you want the chair to stay upright and you can talk quietly,” then concludes the presenter. This is an announcement that risks disappointing fans of the flagship TF1 show. Indeed, from 2014 to 2019, Mika sat in the emblematic red armchair and despite a return with fanfare in 2024 after five absences, the artist seems determined to bow out once and for all.
