The municipality organized a large reception at the home to mark the end of an exceptional career. As Mayor Cyril Soulier recalled, Guylaine Goron worked from 1983 to 1985 at Maison Gendre in Quissac. In 1986, she started at the town hall secretariat of Saint-Théodorit, then that of Puechredon and the Sivom of Lédignan. From 1989 to 2003, she worked in the town hall secretariats of Saint-Théodorit and Montmirat, before ending her career in Saint-Théodorit.
“You worked nine years with Robert Gueidan, nineteen with Jacky Crouzet, six years with Jean-Luc Retchevitch and 4 years together. The town hall secretary is a bit like a multi-card sales representative, she must know everything, “civil status, accounting, writing letters, developing the budget, its skills are multiple and above all adapting to each new mayor”specified Cyril Soulier. He greeted the “pleasant, rigorous and competent person who is starting a new life”. In response Guylaine Goron recalled that she owed it to Robert Gueidan to be hired, supported by Francis Laurent and his deputies Pierre Tuech, Arthur Codou and Jacky Crouzet who then became mayor; to Jean-Luc Retchevitch, thanks to whom she was able to work for five years in the new town hall and to her work colleagues from yesterday and today forming “a united and efficient team”. She paid tribute to “the kindness and trust of the residents”she wished “feast for a long time under the plane trees”.
