The events occurred on the evening of Sunday June 23 not far from Stuttgart, on the way between the football stadium and the airport, Viktor Orban had just attended the Scotland-Hungary match (0-1).

During the night, the security convoy due to the rank of Viktor Orban was heading towards the airport, when a vehicle driven by a 69-year-old man violently hit one of the bikers from the security service, a German officer. Under the violence of the shock, the victim was thrown against another agent’s motorcycle. Transported to hospital, the police officer died shortly after as a result of his serious injuries.

According to initial information, the driver of the vehicle had not seen the signs indicating that the road taken was closed to traffic, precisely because of Viktor Orban’s security convoy.

“We are stunned by the tragic circumstances of the death of our colleague,” said the Stuttgart police officers, “and the entire Stuttgart police force is deeply saddened. Our thoughts are with his family, his loved ones and his friends.”
