Despite their defeat against Israel, the Red Devils secured the essentials by finishing in third place in their group in League A, which qualifies them for the Nations League play-offs in order to remain in the elite.

This play-off will take place in the form of two-legged matches, with Belgium as the top seed, thus guaranteeing a return match at home on March 23, three days after the trip for the first leg.

THE OPPONENTS

If the Belgians’ opponent still remains unclear, two of the four possible teams are already known: Greece and Austria, respectively first in their groups in League B. The Belgian staff will keep a close eye on the last matches in League B to discover the other two potentially qualified teams, with selections such as Czech Republic, Georgia, Albania and Ukraine leading Group 1, and Turkey, Wales and Iceland in Group 4 .

The draw, which will determine the final opponent, will take place on Friday November 22 at 1 p.m.
