The electric machine caught fire on Saturday November 16, around 6:30 p.m., in the Beaujoire district of Nantes. The apartment was destroyed. A man suffered burns to his hands trying to evacuate the scooter. Five people had to be relocated.

The firefighters arrived shortly after 6:30 p.m. in this three-story building located Allée Roland-de-Lassus, Beaujoire district, in Nantes. This Saturday, November 16, the alert was given for a fire caused by an electric scooter, located in an apartment on the first floor.
The owner burned his hands

Around twenty firefighters were mobilized to this fire which was quickly brought under control using a fire hose. Twelve people were evacuated and brought to safety during the intervention. The owner of the scooter, burned hands while trying to evacuate the burning electric vehicle – “lightly injured” indicates the Loire-Atlantique Departmental Fire and Rescue Service -, was transported to the Nantes University Hospital.
The apartment was destroyed and the one above was also affected. The occupants of these two homes, five people in total, were relocated by members of their families.
