The source said that the refusal of the Hamas organization to provide information on the condition of the abductees, especially Americans, without compensation, led the Americans to exert intense pressure on the mediators. The source said that before the presidential elections, Washington requested information and video clips on American prisoners, but the leaders of the Palestinian factions refused because the Americans showed no serious signs of ending the war.
Recall that last Friday, senior Hamas official Bassem Naim told the AFP news agency that the terrorist organization “is ready for a ceasefire if it is presented, and on the condition that Israel respect him.” He also said Hamas is calling on U.S. President-elect Donald Trump to “pressure” Israel to end the fighting.
