Dozens of masked supporters of the pro-settlement movement set fire to several buildings and a car in Beit Furik, a village near Nablus in the West Bank, the IDF said.
The army said that before the violent attack it had received information that Palestinians had stolen a flock of sheep. The men also attacked an Israeli.
Shortly after, dozens of masked Israelis entered Beit Furik, where “violent clashes took place with the Palestinians who were there, with reciprocal stone throwing,” according to the military.

Soldiers and border police officers were then dispatched to the village and used riot control tools to disperse the scuffles, the Israeli army said. She added that there were no injuries in the violence. No arrests have been made.
“The Israeli army condemns events of this type and will continue to act with determination to maintain security and order in the region,” the army said in a statement.
According to Haaretzthe army suspects the perpetrators of being from the settlement of Itamar, known for its far-right population.
Last month, settlers burned homes and farmland in the Palestinian village of Jalud. In September, nine people were injured after Jewish extremists attacked Palestinians and human rights activists in the Jordan Valley.
Violence by supporters of the pro-settlement movement has intensified since the pogrom committed on October 7, 2023, by Hamas terrorists in southern Israel. They have risen further since the start of the olive harvest season last month, and the United Nations has said farmers are facing “the most dangerous olive season ever”.
Israeli authorities rarely arrest the Jewish perpetrators of these attacks. Human rights groups deplore even rarer convictions, noting that the vast majority of charges in these types of attacks are dropped.
Since October 7, troops have arrested some 5,250 wanted Palestinians in the West Bank, including more than 2,050 who were affiliated with Hamas.
According to the Palestinian Authority Ministry of Health, more than 716 Palestinians in the West Bank lost their lives during the same period. The Israeli military says the majority of them were gunmen who were killed in exchanges of fire, rioters who clashed with soldiers or terrorists who carried out attacks.
On the Israeli side, 41 people, including members of the Israeli security forces, have been killed in terrorist attacks in Israel and the West Bank since October 7, 2023. Six other members of the security forces were killed during clashes with terrorists in the West Bank.
