YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS: The 14th award ceremony of the State Prize of the Republic of Armenia for overall contribution to the field of information technology was held at the government.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan presented the State Prize for overall contribution to the field of information technology to Narayana Murthy, the founder of Infosys Limited.

In his speech, the Prime Minister congratulated Narayana Murthy on receiving the State Prize and expressed satisfaction that such an award exists in the Republic of Armenia. According to Nikol Pashinyan, this award is a manifestation of respect and recognition to personalities who have made revolutionary contributions to the development of the technology sector.

“But I think this ceremony is also important for the Republic of Armenia. Why? Because I think this award changes the way we see the world and changes the way the world perceives the Republic of Armenia. It is important as we not only expect recognition or sympathy from the world, but we can also express our recognition and sympathy in such an important and valuable award ceremony,” said underlined the Prime Minister, adding that this awards ceremony is also important to us from another point of view.

According to Nikol Pashinyan, during the presentation of the winners, including today Mr. Murty, the expression “giant of the technology sector” is rightly heard, which is clearly the case, and today’s event is proof of this. The Prime Minister noted that in the context of this awards ceremony, when presenting the winners to our audience, we must draw attention to their biography. “Its most essential characteristic is that they were not born giants, but became giants, that they became people making revolutionary investments. Of course, it is assumed that from the very beginning the Lord plotted a destiny and a concrete plan for their life and activities, but it is obvious that without work, it is obvious that without education, and it must also be admitted that it is obvious that without failures it would not be possible to record these successes. I insist on this point? I hope that we can take advantage of this awards ceremony and the presence of the winners to present the life story of our esteemed winners, in particular to our young people, to our students. , the Prime Minister noted, adding that the life story of each awardee is something that is not only worth knowing, but also carries great energy and potential to give additional motivation, charge and enthusiasm to all those who know.

According to Nikol Pashinyan, one of the reasons for organizing this event is: first of all, it is an expression of recognition for the journey of these people. We believe that drawing attention to their journey can be useful not only to Armenian youth, but also to youth in any country, who can be inspired by these examples. Of course, our laureates, in this case the honorable Mr. Murthy, honor all of us, the Republic of Armenia, with their presence, and this official event allows us to honor the achievements and contributions of our laureates, in the honorable Mr. Murthy.

Dear Mr. Murthy, once again accept the assurance of our deepest respect and appreciation for your journey, your contribution to the technology industry and your global influence.”

In his speech, Narayana Murthy thanked the Prime Minister for his high appreciation and emphasized that it was a great honor for him to receive the Republic of Armenia Prize.
