Communion, emotion, legends. Three words to sum up the 50th anniversary of the MHSC, celebrated this Saturday at the Mosson stadium during a gala match between former Pailladin players and ex-players of the French team. The 10,000 spectators were able to see that the stainless Vitorino Hilton still had a lot under his belt, that Laurent Blanc is still as elegant and that Souleymane Camara still does not tremble in front of the goals. Before this opposition, won 6-1 by the Héraultais, 300 former Montpellier residents paraded, 50th anniversary jerseys on their backs, in the wake of standard bearer Albert Rust, goalkeeper between 1987 and 1990 at the MHSC and winner of the Coupe de France in 1990.
A beautiful afternoon also marked by a moving minute of applause in the 74th minute to pay tribute to Louis Nicollin. You have to relive this in pictures, before a special broadcast from Ici – La Paillade available as a podcast from Monday.
