Even his wife is not aware of his discovery.

What would you do if you found almost 2 million euros and several gold bars in the walls of your house? Many would keep this huge sum of money. But this is not the case for Dave, a resident of New South Wales (Australia), who instead preferred to immediately inform the police.

Whilehe was renovating his house newly purchased, Dave decided tobreak down a wall and, according to his testimony to the Australian media reported by Emporda.infohe then discovered “lots and lots of money and gold bars.” The man says he counted the money discovered and believes he got his hands on “environ 50 lingots d’or which weigh half a kilo each” et more than 3 million Australian dollars (around 1,900,000 euros) in cash.

1982 Perth Mint robbery

But where does all this money come from? According to Australian media, it could come from robberies committed in the country. The most credible lead seems to be that of the Perth Mint (the Perth Mint which is also the official mint of Australia and the largest gold processor in the world) in 1982 when 49 gold bars were stolen .

In the wake of his discovery, Dave warned the police, without even letting his wife know. The authorities immediately seized the loot and must now determine whether the “treasure” was ill-gotten. If not, those riches will go to Dave.
