The highway A1 was closed to traffic for up to Robervalin the Oise, between Compiègne and Senlis, this Saturday November 16, 2024 in the morning, from to .

In question, an accident took place in the morning, shortly before 7 a.m., a vehicle car and a heavy goods vehicle. When emergency services arrived, the two damaged vehicles were on fire near the Roberval viaduct.

Accident then fire on the A1

A fire which caused a impressive cloud of smoke along the A1 motorway. An oil spill is believed to be the cause of the fire.

No injuries

Firefighters were on call in the morning to put out the flames. No less than 50 fire soldiers were mobilized.

But fortunately, the accident caused no injuries.

Vehicles traveling on the A1 were diverted upstream, forced to exit at Pont-Sainte-Maxence. At 4 p.m., this portion of the highway, towards Paris, was still closed to traffic.
