It was a case that caused a stir throughout the country. On October 14, 2022, the lifeless body of 12-year-old Lola was discovered in a trunk sprayed with bleach. It had been abandoned in the building in the 19th arrondissement of Paris where the teenager lived with her parents and her older brother. Shortly after the tragedy, Dahbia B., the main suspect in this case, was arrested by the police. The young woman, 24 years old at the time of the events, was then accused of having committed the worst acts on young Lola. On September 9, the Paris prosecutor’s office therefore requested a trial against the Algerian national. This Friday, November 15, 2024, the Paris prosecutor’s office finally confirmed to AFP that the suspect Dahbia B. would soon be tried in court.
Today, the prosecution therefore ordered that the 26-year-old young woman be tried for “the murder of a minor aged 15 accompanied or preceded by rape, torture or acts of barbarism, to the detriment of young Lola , as well as for rape committed against a minor with torture or barbaric act”. At the beginning of September 2024, once the investigation was completed, RMC revealed the content of the final indictment of the case. The public prosecutor then reported a “surge of physical and sexual violence”, in “an obvious logic of humiliation” and “debasement” aimed at “denying all humanity to young Lola”.
