A trial judgment was ordered this Friday, November 15, against Dahbia Benkired, 26, suspected of having killed Lola, aged 12, in October 2022 in Paris. The offenses charged by the prosecution are murder of a minor aged 15 accompanied by “rape, torture or barbaric acts”, as well as “rape of a minor with torture or barbaric acts”.
A Parisian investigating judge on Friday ordered a trial against Algerian Dahbia Benkired for the murder of young Lola, which had sparked national emotion, AFP learned from a source close to the case. The teenager’s body was found in October 2022 in an abandoned trunk in the courtyard of her building in the 19th arrondissement of Paris.
Requested by AFP, the Paris prosecutor’s office confirmed that Dahbia Benkired would be tried for “the murder of a minor aged 15 accompanied or preceded by rape, torture or acts of barbarism, to the detriment of young Lola , as well as for rape committed against a minor with torture or barbaric act”.
