The Moroccan people join the Royal Family to celebrate, the day before yesterday Thursday, with jubilation and communion, the 54th birthday of HRH Prince Moulay Rachid, a happy event which offers the opportunity for all Moroccans to express their warm congratulations and sincere wishes of happiness and long life to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, to HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, to HRH Prince Moulay Rachid and to the entire August Royal Family.

Born June 20, 1970 in Rabat, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid obtained, in May 1993, with honors “Très Bien”, a degree in Public Law (Internal Administration option) and a diploma in Comparative Law at the Faculty of Legal and Economic Sciences and social networks of Rabat.

Three years later, His Royal Highness obtained the second higher education certificate (International Relations option) with distinction.

His Royal Highness publicly defended, on May 18, 2001 at Montesquieu-Bordeaux IV University, a doctoral thesis in Law on “The Organization of the Islamic Conference: Study of a specific international organization”, obtained with honors “Very Honorable with the congratulations of the jury and special mention for its publication”, having regard to the interest of the subject and the quality of the work.

Since a young age, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid has been interested in cultural, social and sporting activities. In this capacity, His Royal Highness has chaired, since 1997, the Moroccan National Scouting Federation, to which he has given new dynamism. In the same spirit and with the same commitment, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid chairs the Royal Moroccan Hunting Weapons Shooting Federation, the Marrakech International Film Festival Foundation and the Hassan II Trophy Association of Golf. Since January 2018, His Royal Highness has also chaired the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation.

His Royal Highness chairs major events in different fields as well as official ceremonies, and represents His Majesty the King in important national and international events, for the influence of Morocco on the international and regional scenes.

Thus, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid chaired, on October 16, 2023, the opening of the 14th El Jadida Horse Show, organized under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, under the theme “horses and sustainable development ”.

On November 25 of the same year, His Royal Highness, President of the Marrakech International Film Festival Foundation, chaired a dinner offered by His Majesty King Mohammed VI on the occasion of the official opening of the 20th edition of the Marrakech International Film Festival.

Likewise, on the orders of HM King Mohammed VI, Amir Al-Mouminine, rogatory prayers (Salat Al Istisqae) were performed on December 1 at Al-Masjid Al-Aâdam in Rabat, in the presence of HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and HRH Prince Moulay Rachid, thus perpetuating the tradition of the Prophet Sidna Mohammed, prayer and blessing on Him, each time the rain becomes rare.

On the 18th of the same month, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid represented, in Kuwait, His Majesty King Mohammed VI at the presentation of condolences following the death of HH Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. His Royal Highness presented HM the King’s condolences during the audience granted to him by the Emir of the State of Kuwait, HH Sheikh Michaâl Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

On February 23, 2024, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid chaired the gala dinner in Rabat offered by His Majesty the King on the occasion of the 48th edition of the Hassan II Golf Trophy and the 27th edition of the Lalla Meryem Cup, organized under the high patronage of HM King Mohammed VI from February 19 to 24.

The next day, LL.AA.RR Prince Moulay Rachid and Princess Lalla Meryem chaired, at the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam in Rabat, the awards ceremony to the winners of the 48th edition of the Hassan II Trophy and the 27th edition of the Lalla Meryem Golf Cup.

On April 25, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid chaired, at Mechouar Stinia-Sahrij Souani, in Meknes, a dinner offered by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in honor of the guests and participants in the 16th edition of the Salon International Agriculture in Morocco.

The birthday of HRH Prince Moulay Rachid thus constitutes an opportunity for the entire Moroccan people to reaffirm their unwavering attachment to the Glorious Alaouite Throne and their permanent mobilization behind His Majesty King Mohammed VI for the success of the major development projects launched by the Sovereign for the prosperity of His faithful people.
