For years, Vietnam occupies a big place in the heart of Laeticia Hallyday. It is in fact in this country that she and Johnny Hallyday adopted their two daughters Jade in 2004 and Joy in 2009. Laeticia Hallyday: her beautiful love story with Vietnam

Beyond her fame as the wife of Johnny Hallyday, Laeticia Hallyday also became known for her humanitarian commitment, particularly in Vietnam. For several years, she works in favor of disadvantaged children in the country, a fight that she intensified through two adoptions.

Laeticia and Johnny Hallyday went to Vietnam in 2004, while they were still newlyweds. It was at this time that the couple adopted their first daughter, Jade, a little girl born in 2004 in Hanoi. Jade had been abandoned shortly after birth and was in an orphanage. The Hallyday couple chose to adopt him, and this gesture marked the beginning of their relationship with Vietnam. Laeticia always spoke of this moment with emotion, emphasizing that the adoption of Jade had changed her life.

The officialization of the adoption, despite certain complex administrative procedures, took place in a highly publicized setting, giving Laeticia the dimension of a humanitarian ambassador. She regularly intervened to denounce the difficult living conditions of children in Vietnamese orphanages and supported several child aid projects, particularly in health, education and housing.

Five years after Jade's adoption, Laeticia and Johnny Hallyday returned to Vietnam to adopt a second child, Joy. Born in 2008 in Danang, Joy was a little girl with health problems and was entrusted to an orphanage. Joy's adoption was a new step for Laeticia and Johnny, who had already experienced the joy and challenges of parenting an adopted child.

A new stay that turns sour

In 2018, Laeticia Hallyday went to Vietnam with her two daughters, so that they could discover their native land. Six years later, the widow decided to go there again, for the needs of her association Les Bonnes Fées. This association was founded to provide a decent living environment for children by giving them access to education, health and food.

According to exclusive information from our colleagues at Closer, the mother has been in Vietnam since Monday, November 11, 2024. On site, Johnny Hallyday's widow would have been subject to some health problems, namely high fever and severe back pain.

Emergency hospitalized in Ho Chi Minh, the 49-year-old blonde is said to have contracted pyelonephritis, a bacteria which affects the kidneys and can therefore spread into the blood. Fortunately, Laeticia Hallyday's condition quickly improved and she was then able to resume her activities.
