Today we are going to talk about Amazon Haul, the new low-cost offer from the e-commerce giant.
By launching this online store, for the moment only in the United States, Amazon wants to directly compete with Chinese platforms like Temu and Shein, well known for their rock-bottom prices.
What does Amazon Haul offer?
With Haul, Amazon provides Internet users with a whole range of varied products, ranging from clothing to electronics, including beauty items, gadgets, and household items.
The strong point? The price, since everything costs $20 or less. An example? You can buy a jewelry organizer for $5, a laundry bag for $3, or even shirts for $12.
Amazon also offers discounts on large orders, with 5% off for baskets over $50 and 10% off over $75.
A very clear strategy
Amazon wants to compete with the ultra-low prices of its competitors from China. It’s seen written in large letters on banners on the site, such as “crazy low prices” and emojis to draw attention to good deals.
In addition, delivery is free for orders over 25 dollars. These are practices directly inspired by the methods of Temu and Shein.
However, a major change should be noted: although Amazon has built its reputation on fast deliveries, with Haul, the delay is one to two weeks, roughly equivalent to that of its low-cost competitors.
Amazon relies on trust to stand out
Finally, Amazon also plays on trust to stand out.
Contrary to the counterfeiting problems often blamed on Chinese platforms, Amazon claims that all products sold on Haul are controlled and comply with current regulations.
This measure aims to reassure consumers, particularly in the face of growing concerns in the United States and Europe regarding the quality and safety of products imported from China in particular.
