The body found in Switzerland, this Wednesday, November 13, 2024, is indeed that of the mother of the three children found dead on Tuesday, indicates the Bonneville prosecutor's office in actu.fr.
On Tuesday, a father discovered the three bodies of children aged 2 to 13 in a house in Taninges, in Haute-Savoie. The mother, a 45-year-old teacher described as depressed, was nowhere to be found.
His body was finally found lifeless in a car “usually used by the mother of the three children” located in a small village on the Franco-Swiss border.
The prosecutor indicates that he does not have any autopsy results that could explain the causes of his death.
Three children found dead
three children, two boys aged 2 and 11 and a girl aged 13, were discovered in a home in Taninges by the father of the youngest child on Tuesday. Dispatched to the scene around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, emergency services could only note the deaths.
Autopsies carried out by the Grenoble Forensic Institute indicate fatal stab wounds.
The mother, untraceable, was actively searched for more than 24 hours by the gendarmerie who had deployed an important device including around sixty gendarmes and a helicopter.
The 45-year-old teacher was found dead in the commune of Champéry, a Swiss commune in the canton of Valais, close to the border.
A blatant investigation for “intentional homicides” was opened and entrusted to the gendarmes of the Bonneville research brigade, with the support of the Chambéry research section, indicated to actu.fr the Bonneville prosecutor, Boris Duffau, in a press release.
