A train reportedly derailed Thursday morning in the Canadian National (CN) marshalling yard located along Route 116 in Longueuil.

The derailment reportedly occurred a little after 9 a.m. and emergency services erected a huge security perimeter of 800 meters around the derailed train.

However, the extent of the derailment is unknown, during which a possible leak was detected on one of the wagons.

One of them would release a product, possibly hydrogen peroxide.

Route 116 was completely closed in both directions in the area to allow the operation to proceed smoothly.
