Around 7 p.m., this Wednesday, November 13, 2024, a gold buyback shop located Cours Franklin Roosevelt, in the VIe district of (Rhône) was robbed, reports BFM Lyon citing a source close to the investigation.

A masked thief, traveling on a scooter, would have tried to steal the gold present in the store, without succeeding, according to a source cited by Progress. The man then fled.

Dynamite on the window

According to information from both media, the criminal was armed and carrying explosives when he entered the store. He would have fixed a stick of dynamite (around 200 grams of TATP, a primary explosive) on the window, according to the local daily.

The deminers were called in and intervened until late in the evening, requiring the complete closure of the neighborhood to secure the area. No arrests have taken place at the moment, indicate the two media outlets.
