DECRYPTION – After the compromise reached by the State and the supplier of an electricity price of 70 euros per MWh, contracts with manufacturers are not always there.

And then what do we do? On December 31, 2025, regulated access to historic nuclear electricity (Arenh) ends, under 's European commitments. Goodbye therefore to the price of 42 euros per megawatt hour (MWh) intended for alternative electricity suppliers and certain large industrialists. A year ago today, the rest seemed written. EDF and the State announced with great fanfare and in the presence of three ministers (Economy, Industry and Energy) the signing of an agreement aimed at establishing an electricity price of 70 euros per MWh, on average over fifteen years .

The details of the mechanism remained quite vague. Twelve months later, it is clear that little progress has been made in the establishment of this new electricity market. Proof of this is the discretion of the actors, in no hurry to celebrate this anniversary. This will wait until the end of November and the expected and saving signature for the stakeholders…
