Three suspects indicted, a fourth on the run
The suspects, described as having criminal records, dispute their involvement in the murder. “The facts are disputed” by the main suspects. “Two were provisionally imprisoned, the third placed under judicial supervision. A fourth individual is wanted »said the prosecutor. The investigation, led by Lille police officers, began after the arrest of a first suspect, a homeless man, initially taken into care by the authorities.
The rapid intervention of a jogger, an emergency doctor, did not save the victim. The latter attempted cardiac massage on the fifty-year-old, but in vain. Despite his efforts, the man died from his injuries before help arrived. The attack, which occurred in the middle of the evening, still remains partially understood by investigators. The reasons which led to this murder are still unclear.
