In its basic finish with the free color, this MX-30 suffers from a somewhat sad exterior presentation.
The MX-30 remains Mazda’s only electric model to this day. A compact crossover of 4.39 meters whose design shows relative originality, but penalized by batteries with rikiki capacity (35.5 kWh) which confine it to urban use, especially since it accepts only 50 kW maximum in fast charging power.
This is why the Japanese manufacturer launched the R-EV version of this Mx-30 last year, a variant still powered by an electric motor but equipped with a range extender in the form of a small rotary engine. Alas, to 38 250€ at base price this model remains a little expensive and also suffers from some defects in use, particularly when it uses its somewhat noisy and energy-consuming thermal engine.
A finally great price
The good news is this discount that Mazda now agrees to apply to the MX-30 R-EV: 7,200€ all the samewhich lowers its base price to 31 050€representing a reduction of 18.8% in its selling price. Immediately, the machine becomes more interesting even if you have to be content, as you can see in the head image, with a fairly ordinary exterior presentation with the basic finish. Inside, however, it’s nicer even on the entry-level model. Remember that it officially offers a range of 85 km in mixed use.
