Proximus increases its prices, still waiting for DIGI and price war between operators: how telecoms prices are evolving

Concretely, the prices of Flex packs, which combine internet, mobile telephony and/or television, will increase by 3 euros per month. The internet subscription will cost around 2 euros more, as will the Pickx Sports offer.

Belgians' electricity bill will increase “dizzyingly” because of a government project

For mobile subscriptions, the price increase will be lower, since it will only have an impact on the price of communications and data outside Europe. The good news is that Proximus does not plan an increase for its other brands, Scarlet and Mobile Vikings, which offer attractive products for consumers.

This is an announcement that will not please consumers, but should we expect similar increases from other operators? We are more in a price war perspective, for the moment. Base has just launched an internet and television offer, has revised the prices of its Hey! and continues its merger procedure with VOO, without forgetting the planned arrival of DIGI.

Telecoms: DIGI breaks the silence and says more about its deployment plan, “we have started the very last phase”

For this last operator on which many hopes rest in terms of lower prices and innovative offers, we are still in the waiting phase. Management indicated almost two months ago that the products were in their final stages of development. Since then, nothing. No announcement is planned immediately, the operator's spokesperson recently told us.

In any case, the arrival of DIGI, even late and/or with an offer less attractive than expected (we don't know anything yet, but it's better to prepare for it) cannot be a bad news and should push prices down.

Proximus will increase its prices in January
