Météo France has just placed the Côte-d’Or on orange alert this Wednesday, June 19 from 6 p.m. for a rainy-stormy episode. A high risk of violent phenomena is expected, stay vigilant!

The Côte-d’Or is placed on orange alert from this Wednesday at 6 p.m., and until the next day at 6 a.m., due to a rainy-stormy episode, with significant amounts of rain in a short time.

A very active stormy deterioration will affect the department during the evening. Are waiting :

  • hail, and wind gusts of around 70 to 80 km/h;
  • cumulative rainfall of up to 30 to 40 mm in a short time, and up to 50 mm over the episode.

The storm will decline from the middle of the night. Rainy activity could still continue until tomorrow morning.

Recommendations from the prefecture

All the mayors of the department were alerted by the Prefecture services. The latter invites everyone to remain vigilant and adapt their outdoor activities to the risks induced by the meteorological episode.

The prefecture recommends:

  • avoid outdoor activities, outings in the mountains, in the forest or near a stream;
  • to limit travel and take shelter;
  • not to take shelter under an umbrella, under a tree or against a wall;
  • under no circumstances touch electrical wires that have fallen to the ground.
