While the Eviosys factory aimed to reduce its greenhouse gases (GHG) by -30% between 2020 and 2030, the Concarne company will revise its objectives upwards. The reason: positive results arrived faster than expected, thanks to several investments. “Our forklift fleet has switched from gas to electric, the lighting is now LED and we have modernized the gas ovens in our processes,” lists Maël Chevalier, director of the factory with 200 employees. From 2021 until now, Eviosys has “reduced its gas consumption by 40%” on its equipment.
Zero net emissions at the end of 2050
And that's not all. “At the end of 2023, Eviosys has achieved -20%” production of its GHGs by reducing its energy consumption. That is to say “a score 4 years ahead of the 2027 objective”, welcomes the company which, based on this observation, has decided to raise its ambitions. “The goal is now to reduce our GHG emissions by 50% by 2030,” reveals Maël Chevalier, who is aiming for net zero emissions by the end of 2050 thanks to continued investments in this direction.
