  • The violence on the sidelines of the match between Ajax Amsterdam and Maccabi Tel Aviv left around thirty people lightly injured. Five people were briefly hospitalized.

This was not supposed to be a high-risk match. Thursday, November 7, Ajax Amsterdam hosted Maccabi Tel-Aviv in the lair of the Johan Cruyff Arena, south of the Dutch capital as part of the group stages of the Europa League. On the pitch, Ajax controlled the match and crushed their opponent. Final score? 5-0. No one will care for long. Another report made the headlines in the Dutch newspapers: 62 arrests, around thirty minor injuries and five people taken to hospital.
