Firefighters intervened on site for more than an hour to inspect the area using measuring devices, in the commercial cells and basements. The measurements revealed nothing abnormal and were also confirmed by the GRDF technicians on site. No evacuation was necessary. The hypothesis of a gas leak was ruled out.
As a precautionary measure, the street was closed to traffic and pedestrians asked to take a detour while firefighters intervened.
