Météo places the Var on YELLOW vigilance with the weather situation to monitor for rain – flooding and YELLOW vigilance for thunderstorms this Tuesday, November 12 from 7 a.m. until mid-afternoon.

Weather report

Tuesday morning, a disturbance circulates from East to West initially giving showers over the Var. During the morning, slow storms form at sea and cause rain on nearby coastlines. Intensities are of the order of 20-30 mm/h in a coastal area from the east of Bouches-du-Rhône to the west of Var and can last several hours. During the afternoon, the heavy rains shift offshore and lose intensity over a large part of the region. They end up stopping during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday.
For the entire event, the expected accumulation is 15-30 mm and up to 50-80 mm possible locally between the eastern coast of Bouches-du-Rhône and the western Var.
