She is currently battling stiff person syndrome and admits to being ill for 17 years now. She took a lot of medication to try to keep pushing herself. “ I was over the maximum dose and I could have stopped breathing… I could have died » mentions the singer. His illness advanced by two years due to the lack of medication.

In the interview with Jean-Philippe Dion, the host admits that he and his team have at least fifteen minutes before they can speak again, they were so shocked after having watched his documentary first.
It was hard to remain unmoved while hearing the star describe her seizure episodes and she mentioned this: “ If I’m overstimulated, whether it’s happiness or unhappiness…or something I’m not expecting, it can put me into a crisis episode.
It’s a bit like epileptic seizures… it looks similar, but it’s not epileptic seizures. We lose bits, of course, and I can’t talk. Sometimes it can last very quickly and other times it takes longer. I have panic buttons at home and my children, when I have episodes, they know what to do. »

It wasn’t even dying… it was worse than that… it was waiting for something.»
