The situation of Lebanese women is becoming more and more precarious, after two months of war of aggression against Lebanon.
Indeed, women and girls under the age of 15 constitute more than half of the displaced Lebanese in the South and Bekaa regions, in addition to the southern suburbs of Beirut, that is to say almost 800,000 women. to which we must add several hundred thousand displaced Syrians.
In addition, 600 women and little girls have already died in the bombings (some of them were torn to pieces), not to mention more than 5,000 injured, some of whom are disabled.
The majority of displaced Lebanese and Syrian women find themselves crowded either in schools, tents or other unsanitary places, generally sleeping on the ground.
The situation, as you know, is getting worse because of the refusal of Netanyahu and his generals to respond to international calls for a ceasefire; on the contrary, they continue, as in Gaza, the massacres of the civilian population as well as the destruction of homes and the surrounding nature, using white phosphorus and fragmentation and fission bombs delivered to them by the United States. and NATO.
This is why we are addressing you today, especially through the International Democratic Federation of Women (FDIF), to ask you for more active solidarity with your Lebanese, Palestinian and Syrian sisters in danger.
