Likud MK David Bitan on Monday ordered a relative of a dead Gaza hostage removed from a Knesset economic committee after she refused to stop speaking beyond her allotted time .
During the meeting, Bitan criticized Hannah Cohen, Inbar Haiman’s aunt, for speaking too long, saying she was “repeating herself” and that others should speak up.
When she continued to speak and scream, telling him he would “hear me 1,000 more times,” he ordered her deported.

“Bring her back and you won’t see me here again,” Cohen told him.
Under pressure from other commission members, Bitan finally relented and allowed her to stay.
Haiman, 27, was kidnapped from the Nova music festival on October 7, 2023. She has since been declared dead by the military and her body is still in Gaza.
This is not the first time that Bitan has clashed with hostage relatives.
A few weeks ago, he interrupted the testimony of Sari Gat, the aunt of Carmel Gat, a hostage executed in captivity by Hamas, and asked her to “be quick.”
