The Hérault firefighters intervened in Cap d', more precisely at Impasse Fort Royal, for a fire that occurred in an apartment located on the third floor of a residential building, this Monday November 11, 2024.

The fire started in an electric meter installed in the kitchen, then spreading to the terrace awning. The situation could have quickly degenerated in this six-story building, occupied by several residents at that time.

Evacuation of occupants

Two young occupants, aged 15 and 6, left the apartment before the firefighters arrived. The firefighters examined them once on site. Another occupant, located on the fourth floor, confined himself to stay safe from the smoke. The national police quickly joined the firefighters to secure the perimeter around the building.
