Adam Abdallah Belmadi, the son of Djamel Belmadi, made his professional debut at just 16 years old. If his father left his mark on the history of Algerian football, it is his son’s turn to stand out. The young prodigy who currently wears the colors of Qatar, could aspire to a call-up to the Algeria A team.
At just 16 years old, this young prodigy has already taken his first professional steps, with his club Al-Duhail SC. In a QSL Cup match against Al Shahaniya, the young midfielder was started and played for 68 minutes before being substituted. Although the match ended 1-1, for Adam it was an opportunity to show off his skills on the pitch.
Aligned in the middle of the field and wearing number 85, little Belmadi showed great things for his age. Adam was comfortable and played without pressure even if he didn’t really impact his team’s play. But for a 16-year-old player, this is a promising start to his professional career.

Belmadi between Qatar and Algeria
It must be said that Djamel Belmadi’s son grew up in a football environment. His father, with his experience as a player and coach, gives him advice and support. This paternal influence is undeniable and could well be a major asset in his progress.
With a dual French-Algerian nationality, Adam Belmadi will certainly be coveted. Qatar, where he trained, Algeria, the country of his origins, and potentially France. Currently, Adam represents the Qatar national under-17 team.
The young player has not yet made a final decision regarding his sporting nationality. His journey in Qatar allows him to evolve calmly without the media pressure often associated with European or Algerian competitions. However, if his performances continue to impress, he could quickly be faced with a crucial career choice.
