Firefighters intervened to fire in a house in the town of Domvastnorth ofAbbeville. The disaster took place on Friday November 8, 2024 around 6 p.m.
On their arrival, the firefighters from Abbeville, reinforced by their colleagues from Albert, discovered accommodation located in an old farmhouse completely in flames. The flames having reached the roof. The fire threatened to spread to a second home.
“Thanks to the responsiveness and professionalism of our colleagues, the spread was avoided, thus preserving the second home” indicates the SDIS (departmental fire and rescue service) of the Somme.
It took three lances and a large ladder for the firefighters to put out the disaster. Fortunately, no casualties were reported. The family was able to be relocated.
