Nearly 6,000 hectares ravaged, the fire far from being contained

Sunday evening, the fire nicknamed “Post Fire”, which has already burned nearly 6,000 hectares, was only 2% contained, indicates the Los Angeles Times, relaying information from the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The media specifies that the fire started near the town of Gorman, nearly 100 kilometers northwest of Los Angeles.

The wind complicates the work of firefighters

The windy conditions made it difficult for firefighters deployed in large numbers to the fire, and for water bombing planes, said Kenichi Haskett, section chief of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
